This painting was inspired by the lyrics “God put a rainbow in that cloud.” I first encountered these words while listening to Oprah Winfrey and Maya Angelou speak, and I have kept them close to my heart. The piece was started in my studio and completed live at the Art and History Museum of Maitland for their annual Art Party gala, and it was sold during the fundraising auction.
